Iris V1 Keypad documentation

Filed under: hubitat, iris by lowels — tmaster @ 2:29 pm

Iris v1 Keypad is compatible with Hubitat (H-7) only when my driver is used. It is the best keypad for use with Hubitat. You can get them on ebay at low cost because no one knows how to make them work.
It will not pair on h8 due to a chip set problem in the hub your may migrate from h7 to h8 but you cant pair anything in h8

Works with Lock Code Manager (4-15 digit Pins supported), 13 Different Chimes , Alarm , Panic

To Reset or first time pair device:
Insert two batteries side-by-side at one end or the other and then press “ON” button device 5 times (8 times?) within the first 10 seconds to reset it and place it in pairing mode..

Selects add device on hub and use iris v1 pair. It takes al long time for this to run. When it pairs it will pair as care fob. Go to the device and change the driver to iris v1 keypad.  If you have not installed the driver see other post.

Press initialize then configure. Then go to HSM monitor and add the keypad as a control so it can receive commands from the HSM. Failure to do this will result in it not being able to keep in sync with the HSM.

Buttons * and # can be mapped in the driver, and the button manager can map the keyboard as buttons.  example you can map button 1 to turn on a light.

Mounting and positioning
Position the keypad in a convenient location, inside your home and near an entry door. Use the
enclosed screws to attach the mounting bracket to the wall.

Setting up a PIN
Install the lock code manager and enter your pins, It will store them in the keypad. Support is included for a master pin that you enter on the driver setup screen.  Driver supports 4 pins up to 15 digits long.

Using your Iris Smart Keypad

The intruder alarm can be set to secure your home when you leave by pressing and holding the ‘on’ or ‘partial’ buttons for two seconds. The light for the selected mode will illuminate for a few seconds to confirm the mode change. Depending upon your settings the keypad may beep for a short while before being fully set. This permits you time to leave your home before the alarm is active. Iris supported 2 alarm modes hubitat has 3.  Buttons ON,PARTIAL,* and # can be remapped to armedAWAY, armedNIGHT or armedHOME.

The panic alarm may be triggered by pressing the ‘panic’ button for two seconds. To turn your alarm off enter your four digit PIN and press the ‘off’ button. You may cancel a ringing alarm by entering your PIN and pressing the ‘off’ button.
